Timber cabin

Welcome to our cabin in the mountains of Norway! We would like to share our nice cabin with others and would like to rent it to people who value the fresh air, the isolation and the sounds of nature as much as we do. The cabin is fully equipped with electricity, a modern bathroom and shower and other amenities. You can park your car within 50 meters (150 feet) of the cabin.
Where? Our cabin is located in Northwest Norway, in the county of More and Romsdal, about 40 km (24 miles) east of art nouvea Ålesund (Aalesund)with the jugend-style. It sits on the slope of a hill that faces southwest, with a marvellous view down the valley to the ocean. The cabin is surrounded by native west Norwegian forest, with wonderful opportunities for trips into the nearby mountains . There are marked hiking trails nearby, so it is always easy to find your way back home.

Comfort The cabin is large (80 m² or 800 square feet), made of native timber and is well insulated for cold weather. Inside, the walls are finished with native woods. It has three bedrooms, one which has bunk beds, and the third (Master bedroom) which has a double bed and a single bed. All in all there are sleeping facilities for at least 6 people. Sleeping arrangements for one or two more people may also be made in the dining room. Additional blankets and other bedclothes may be rented if necessary. The kitchen has modern appliances, including a refrigerator and freezer. The cabin is surrounded by native trees and bushes, with a large terrace on the south.

Heating There is a large, open fireplace in the dining room, in addition to a wood burning stove. There is another wood burning stove in the hallway, and electric heaters in various places. The woodshed is close to the cabin (see photo). Cut and seasoned wood is provided free for use by guests.
Fishing If you are interested in seafishing, it is possible to rent a small boat on the coast, about 7 km (4 miles) from the cabin. A freshwater lake is about 2 km away and a boat may also be rented there.
